I call her the “pain whisperer.”

“14 years ago, I had a boating accident that affected my hip. When I lift weights or twist a certain way, I have pain in my hip that feels like my hip is out of the socket. When I look in the mirror, I can see that I’m crooked.

I don’t like going to doctors and have a high pain threshold, but at 56 years old, I receive massage therapy once a month and in the past have seen a chiropractor– – both of which never leaving me feeling as great as I do after seeing April. Because I live 1 ½ hour away from April, I’ve only seen her 3 times in 4 years, but whenever I do leave her, I feel the best I’ve ever felt. Recently, after 2 ½ weeks in pain, I drove to see her.

After 2 minutes, she had me standing up straight and it lasted for several months. During that visit, she noticed that I was not obtaining a full breath by my chest not rising and falling normally. She manipulated certain muscles which allowed my diaphragm to work correctly. Also, without any prompting, she somehow knew that I had pain in my right shoulder. Again, within minutes she has released the — -tension leaving me with absolutely no pain.

Once the visit was complete, she left me with very good posture corrections and stretches to prevent the muscles from tensing again.

I call her the ‘pain whisperer.'” – Kevin Wyman, Military Officer in Charge, New Haven, CT

After one session with April… Sierra felt better and is back to doing her gymnastic and acrobatic tricks.

“My 10 year old daughter, Sierra, is a gymnast and dancer. She’d been suffering from an issue in her right knee, which was preventing her from doing her acrobatic tricks. We’d been to both Urgent Care and a doctor before she saw April. X-rays ruled out a possible fracture and a knee sprain was suspected.

After one session with April, who was working as a Physical Therapist at the Roots Gymnastics Center in Westfield, Sierra felt better and is back to doing her gymnastic and acrobatic tricks. Her knee pain is gone.

I was also impressed by April’s great bedside manner. She put Sierra at ease during the treatment session.” – Kim Borges, Mom, Westfield, MA

I feel great!

“OMG April is the s***; remember how I’ve had digestion problems since I was little? Well April is the s*** because since yummy tummy I feel great!” – Gianna, HS Student

I would recommend her 100%.

“My 17 year old son has had a groin pull on and off for the past several years. April treated him three times and the groin pull is gone and hasn’t come back. Right now, she’s treating his sprained ankle, which is much better. I would recommend her 100%.” – Nancy S., mother of 17 year old son, Granby, MA

After a treatment with April, I always feel better.

“Following a sinus infection, I developed persistent vertigo losing my balance 4-5x a day for 2-3 minutes each. Because I was getting conflicting opinions and no relief after seeing an ENT specialist and a neurologist, I was suffering from fear and anxiety . After 4-5 sessions with April the vertigo has gotten considerably better and my headaches have considerably decreased in frequency. She is confident in her findings, explains what’s she’s doing and why, and is incredibly caring.

After a treatment with April, I always feel better. Paying out-of-pocket for a treatment with April is still a better investment than all the time and money I spent on my co-pay and medical expenses, including an MRI.” – Brenda O, Physical Therapy Assistant, Holyoke

After just 2 visits with Dr. Rex, the pain in my knee was gone…

“I was introduced to April at a monthly meeting regarding Firefighter health & wellness. For the better part of the last 2 years I had been dealing with lingering pain in my right hip, lower back, & knee. Between working as a firefighter, going to the gym, and daily life in general, the pain was always there to some degree and usually just enough to at least be a nuisance but often times it was legitimate pain.

I had tried a chiropractor a number of times which would work briefly but the pain always returned and I felt like I wasn’t making any progress.

After just 2 visits with Dr. Rex, the pain in my knee was gone and the pain I had in my hip/back is not nearly what it was. I can feel my body responding to the treatment and am confident that going forward the discomfort in my back and hip (which are both feeling much better) will vanish the way my knee pain did.

I highly recommend April to anyone who is experiencing pain/discomfort and would like to get back to feeling better!” – Zach V. Local Career Firefighter

Thank God I found April!

“Almost a year following a hip replacement, I still couldn’t walk without limping or pain. I’d already seen four different physical therapists and I was getting worse and feeling a lot of despair. I was referred to April by a woman I respect, and I can hardly believe the success and positive changes that I’ve experienced. No pain, walking with much more ease and energy, and feeling incredibly positive. Thank God I found April!” – S. Bellows, Marketing Specialist

I am now injury free and back to my full running workout.

“I went began seeing April after suffering for 6 months with a pulled hamstring. I had tried everything and was still in a great deal of pain. I wasn’t able to run and my exercise routine had been greatly compromised. Within a few visits, April had my pain identified; stretching routines established and had me on the road to recovery. I am now injury free and back to my full running workout. Thank you April!!” – S. O’Connor, Teacher

I find her style to be gentle and very effective.

“April helped me understand what it meant to have a mild concussion and how I needed to take care of myself to heal. She also provided gentle treatments to release tension and bring my body physically back into balance. After my treatments with April, I felt reduced pain and more balanced. I highly recommend April as a physical therapist; I find her style to be gentle and very effective. April is also great with children. She has worked with my nine-year-old daughter. After one session the pain my daughter often felt in her stomach before bed has been alleviated.” – Kelly S., Mother of Two

April goes beyond by looking for the root cause of the problem to get you back to full function.

“I ruptured my Achilles tendon playing basketball which required full reconstructive surgery. After the surgery I was experiencing numbness in half of my foot and the side of my ankle. I teach high school so I’m walking and standing a lot. With the issues I was having, I was unable to go back to work. After three treatments with April, I had improved function and feeling in my foot and was able to return to work. Unlike traditional Physical Therapy where they often just go through the motion, April goes beyond by looking for the root cause of the problem to get you back to full function. She’s professional, knowledgeable, and a great listener. And, she’s gentle and has amazing hands. “ – Belinda M., High School Teacher, Westfield, MA
